From October 2022 to September 2023, EU4ART_differences is piloting the development of an additional qualification for graduate students from both faculties. The selection of the 10 fellows has now taken place.

A qualifying program for graduates of all faculties of the HfBK Dresden will run from October 2022 to September 2023 as part of the EU-funded research project EU4ART_differences on the intersections between artistic practice and research processes. Both faculties’ graduates and Meisterschüler (masterclass students) were asked to apply by submitting a portfolio and a concept for an Artistic Research work. The following themes and competencies are the focus of the pilot project: artistic research and its techniques, self-management in artistic processes, the fundamentals of curating, research skills, and writing workshops for diverse forms of writing.

22 students from nearly all of the study programs at the HfBK applied for the 10 scholarships, each of which has a monthly stipend amount of €200. We are delighted that the “AG 3. Studienzyklus” scholarship selection process takes into account both the variety of artistic working practices and the breadth of disciplines covered. On 7th July 2022, at an event in the courtyard of the HfBK’s main building at the Brühlsche Terrasse, the names of the scholarship recipients will be announced. We enthusiastically congratulate you!

Each scholarship recipient will conduct their own project, which they will then present and publish on the Research Catalogues’ project webpage.
