Three days dedicated to artistic research will celebrate the core projects developed by EU4ART_differences alliance through the course of the last three years, culminating in the European Researcher’s Night, on September 29, 2023.
Within EU4ART_differences, the Fine Arts Academy of Rome will host the A.Re Days, three days entirely dedicated to research (27 – 28 – 29 September, 2023) and culminating in the European Researcher’s Night. For this important international event that resonates in all research institutes of Europe, the Academy of Rome became associated partner of LEAF – heaL thE plAnet’s Future, a project coordinated by Frascati Scienza and promoted by the European Commission.
One of the most significant initiatives within the project devoted to research at an international scale will now come to a head thanks to three years of EU4ART_differences international cooperation between the art universities of Budapest, Dresden, Riga, and Rome.
This significant event occurs exactly one year after a group of researchers from the alliance’s various capital cities in Europe gathered for the intense Summer School programme at the Casa San Silvestro Monastery in Monte Compatri (Rome).
There will be a brisk schedule of activities, including talks, seminars, workshops, and more, at the Fine Arts Academy of Rome, MKE in Budapest and at the HfBK Dresden as well as online. The topics covered will vary from particle physics to cultural heritage, from artificial intelligence to cutting-edge didactics using HOLOLENS visors.
In collaboration with students, senior researchers, and the newly introduced role of the junior scientist that EU4ART_differences has called into action, an extraordinarily rich programme that includes the most contemporary topics of discussion in the field of research has been organized. It will be a significant time for both sharing and returning the work to a bigger audience of researchers and those who are interested.
The European Researchers’ Night will be a special opportunity to present the first results of CARE – Creative Artistic Research Ecosystem Laboratory, a transdisciplinary collaboration born from the partnership between the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome and the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) Roma Tre.
Furthermore, projects and research results of the partner academies in Budapest and Dresden will also be revealed during the European Researchers’ Night with onsite events. In Budapest, discussions on ‘Sustainability and Insecurity’ will explore the future of research in the intriguingly named ‘Zone’. Concurrently, at The Dresden Academy will unveil the Lab for Artistic Research’s exhibition, highlighting innovative artistic endeavours and research findings. This confluence of events epitomises the continent’s rich academic and artistic tapestry.
